I created Mambo Dance League as private lettering artwork project in vibrant colors as monolinear style with an inline stroke. While developing my lettering piece, I was of course not thinking of submitting this motif for the Typism book. However, when the call of Dominique Falla was out, I decided to give it a try and submitted 10 different lettering pieces.
Zumba crazy is another piece I developed in monolinear lettering style.
Yeah, the winner which made it into Typism book number 7.
This is my artwork which was finally selected out of 10 motifs I submitted for the Typism book number 7.
Rough pencil sketches. I always start very traditional with pencil and paper. As soon as I have a pleasant and refined sketch, I move to my MAC and redraw my sketch in Adobe Illustrator to have a crisp vector lettering artwork.
